Education in Lithuania

Education in Lithuania is free of charge and compulsory from the age of 6/7 to 16 years old. The education system is divided into three parts such as primary, secondary and higher education. After 10 years of schooling, students may continue for the final two years or enter vocational junior colleges or manual training schools. In these schools they can get both secondary education and qualifications necessary for a job.
